Mission Blue Design established its roots in San Francisco, CA opening its main office as Tower Design Studio in 1989. Over the past three decades, we have evolved to meet crucial sustainability issues and have adapted to the changing design paradigms of this century.
Mission Blue Design was established to address four streams of sustainability:
- environmental
- economic
- social
- and cultural.
Addressing these four streams is critical to long-term health of both the inhabitants of a space and the planet as we integrate the interior environment with the eco-environment. We view family and business organizations as living organisms with all parts relying on each other to function, survive and flourish.
We design for minimal impact on the earth, energy efficiency and healthy environments. We incorporate green building methods and materials where feasible. We strive to reuse, recycle and reduce and importantly, utilize conscious, well-researched purchasing methods. Our goal is to minimize our impact on the environment by designing smart. We optimize internal spaces into effectively functioning environments that facilitate optimum functionality, and importantly, beautiful aesthetics.
Mission Blue Design serves a wide range of interior design needs from small-scale renovations to large-scale master planning and development. We work closely with our clients to develop creative and effective design strategies to realize their vision. Our services include residential and commercial design for homes, businesses, hospitality, tenant improvement, and project development. With offices in San Francisco and Santa Barbara, Mission Blue Design can better serve the needs of both Northern and Southern California. We will be opening an office in Washington DC to serve the East Coast in the spring.
